Yes I know..having all of the pressure on the rear of your foot when you swing is a shitty feel.

I didn't notice..thanks ;)

Meh..don't see it but I don't see a lot of things. That said, just because @Shawn liked it doesn't make it so... 🤣
Im not making the statement because @Shawn likes it either. Girl can flat out hit!

This is the 'best hitter in college' softball. With horrific bat drag.

I am pointing out opportunities for your kids to be the greatest hitters in fastpitch. This is like someone telling you to buy Amazon stock in 1999.

I guess these guys are draggers too. 😂

there is nothing wrong w slotting the elbow early as long as it doesn’t lead when the hands come forward at the midline. The bat should come when the middle comes. That’s the true checkpoint for bat drag.the back elbow leading past the midline is a symptom not the cause of bat drag. The cause is an all arms swing bc of no connection to the lower half during the load.

this guy drags it. His stats prove it. Recently retired. Bc he couldn’t hit. Back elbow is fine. Hmm.

There's not 'nothing wrong' if this happens. It does inhibit bat speed. And if the bat head is still behind their head, it can ruin the bat path.

A few pros are able to overcome the bat drag flaw in the middle of their swing (as has been pointed out in many threads). But their swing would be better without bat drag.

The goal should be to hit the ball as hard as possible, hitters will drag, whether it's because on that swing the are not mechanically sound or their timing is off which screws up their swing. Some hitters drag all the time and still hit the ball hard. With that being said, wouldn't everybody agree that most hitters would rather not drag, and most instructors would try to eliminate it if their student was dragging? Also when adjusting to an off-speed pitch, is dragging the bat the most effective way of staying back??
