Slow-pitch vs fast-pitch
My daughter is in the Navy and looking to join a co-ed slowpitch league on her base. She read that you have to have a bat approved for slow-pitch. But I also read you *can* use a fastpitch bat but you may not get as much from it as normal fastpitch. Should she try to buy a new bat for it...- nixxy311

My daughter left for Navy boot camp June 22nd. We're finally getting letters from her. Her last letter she wrote - on two different occasions she had girls come up to her and say "You look like you play softball" and she said one girl just calls her "softball" now. Found that pretty funny :)...- nixxy311

All-Stars
My daughter played in her local rec league for the Spring and also participated in All-Stars the last month or so. In the regular season her team went 16-0 (won the End of Season tournament). And she just played in her 12th All-Star game and also went undefeated (winning three tournaments)...- nixxy311

All-Navy Softball
Does anyone have any experience with the All-Navy Softball teams? My daughter is shipping out next week for Basic Training and she'll be in schooling for awhile after that but it looks like they can apply for it at the start of next summer. 22May23 - Start of Iowa HS Softball Season

End of Season
DDs team had their End of Season tournament where they went 4-0 to win it. They ended 16-0 on the full season. DD ended with .650 BA and 1.775 OPS (again it's rec so pitching not as hard) - No Ks. High School Daddy Ball
Are any of the girls on the team also on the TB teams that the coaches coach for? I know you can't have a coach who coaches a player on both a HS and TB team (at least not in my state) . I would hope they don't also coach their kid's TB team? A soccer team in my state had their championship...- nixxy311

High School Daddy Ball
I just find it odd that a parent is even coaching a HS team - wouldn't a private school be able to afford to get actual coaches? Is the coach going to leave once his daughter graduates? At least in our school you have to be a teacher as well in order to coach. We never had daddy ball on...- nixxy311

Whats your "Area" tradition or rule about what happens with OTF homerun ball?
We kept DDs first OTF ball in TB. She did not want the ball with her first HR in HS ball - but we did get a pic. She recently hit her first GS so we kept that ball. Triple play
Not my kid but my kid's team. We were up 11-6 in the top of the last inning. Pitcher walks the first two batters. So runners on 1st and 2nd. High School Program Information
DDs school has almost 3k students. Had V (22) and JV (13) this past season. A lot of the girls on V really only played on JV - we tend to put all juniors on V even if they won't play.
