Also, I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but scholarships can be handed out as a 4 year deal, or renewable year by year.
Obviously you want the 4 year deal, so make sure you are understanding the offer when you get it. The coach will give you a piece of paper that lays it out when...
Nobody has mentioned the COA (Cost of Attendance) or the fact that the NCAA allows 110% of cost as maximum. 10% can be hit or miss at different programs.
If this is in play, 10% of the total cost goes back to the student (per quarter/semester) for things such as toothpaste, etc.
The students...
FWIW, I don’t know what a 104 weighted GPA is, but my DD graduated 4th in her class with a 4.5 cumulative. I think she scored an 1160 on her SATs which was not considered a great score.
So there was no need to send in the SAT, but she did still get academic money.

If I were a coach I would only care about results in the circle, not who your pitching coach is, or if you even have one. I would be trying to win games. This seems very odd to me.
I know one self/dad taught pitcher that got a scholarship. She had an odd motion but apparently she got it done...
My DD (D1) does not pitch everyday, but will do a bullpen every other day. Weekends have been 5 games, but now they are 3, so amount of pitches will vary based on several factors.
I think the bullpens are about 45 minutes. In season that’s probably only 2 per week, since Monday is an off day...
If I understand correctly, since the Pitcher is not part of the DP/Flex, then it’s just a substitution when the pitcher comes out.

At least the kids are moving around, and they have a heater in the dugout.
Next time I’ll take a lap between innings like the players. My DD is a pitcher, I normally will be somewhere down the line

Was at DDs games yesterday, 38 degrees, “feels like” 30. Yikes. I tried. Watched from the car and on the conference stream. At least Friday and Saturday were ok.

My DD was like that when she was younger. Staying on the same team where she can get comfortable should help. Hopefully you are in a good situation.

Congrats, my DD recently picked up her 1st as well. She has dropped a few lately going through a gauntlet of Louisiana, Florida, and UCF. They keep throwing her out there and she’s doing her best. 60IP/2.0ERA.
I’m sure there will be many more wins to come, hopefully you get to watch a lot of...
I don’t think there is much you can do there, that’s a lot of strikes. Sounds like the coach just needing something to say.
When my DD joined a new team, they told her the same, they were like instead of throwing 18 pitches per inning, let’s throw 15, attack the zone more. I was very skeptical...
Go Magic!!!
My DD was on the 18s team that placed 3rd and Ernie also coached the 12s that won it all. I believe the coaching staffs were the same. Pretty good couple of weeks!
Great example of a small org that can compete with the big dogs.
Who knows how good this kid is, good players on good...
Ok one more shameless brag, happy for the kid. I don’t have a whole lot of people to share this with that really understands, so I’ll put this here.
DD is killing it so far this season, D1 true freshman.
30+IP, era around 0.50, less than 5BB and close to 30Ks. Batters are hitting about .170...
