using 1 or 2 steps fair from the A position puts you in an optimum position for just about any ground ball hit to an infielder. there is no need to come inside
concerning 2 man mechanics, does ASA cover the mechanics on what some other organizations call the "wheel play" with a lone runner on third and a walk to the batter? also what would the same situation mechanics be in 3 man?
thank you Umpire..thats what im looking for
where would i find the PONY interpretations and play clarifications? does PONY have a case book. i looked on their site and found nothing that pertains to interpretations. am i just not looking in the right place?
i believe they dont have to return directly to first base. they have the option of advancing to second base as long as they dont move towards first base first. once they make a move back to first base, they can not change their mind and then move towards second base.

thank you bretman..thats what i would like to know. if the batter gets hit with the pitch while she is out of the box, what is PONY's ruling? as per rule 9-2-f she would not be awarded 1st base because she was not in the box when she got hit, it just doesnt seem to make sense
it doesnt happen often and i'd even say rarely but it does happen from time to time...i was just wondering what the PONY position was on it. ASA doesnt distinguish between being in the batters box or out but it appears that PONY does
