Certainly possible. Thats all we can think of as well. The team played a full season last year. This senior had less than 15 ABs total in 2.5 season before this season and had never started a game. She didn't even play DDs position until this year so it's not like she was an establish talent.- black17

I don't disagree the coach has 'his plan' and fully understand that its choice to do so. I can still disagree. The results and stats definitely don't support the choice. The edit was more of a joke that didn't go anywhere. As a follow up to this however, yes DD started the game 1 yesterday of a DH against a nationally ranked team. Got 3 ABs, went 1-3. Game went extra innings and she was removed for the senior. Long story short, senior went hitless and had an...- black17

I like no stride. I think she looks pretty good for a newbie just trying it. Just be careful with all the little bits she adds for timing. A no-stride swing can be super compact and quick, but those little extras can really slow down the timing, ending up with a negative load that never comes...- black17

Just forget the letter. You will regret that the second you send it. I however understand your frustration 100%. While I certainly don't know you or your DD, I think the other comments do have a point. You and her are not the same person with the same experiences. I don't think teenagers regret anything. Its just the teenage mindset. I wouldn't worry too much about sitting out a season. This may not help, but I know what you are going thru. The feeling of 'why them' I have learned, is very common and ultimately doesn't mean much. Sometimes its just dumb luck. Just keep plugging. Don't do the shy, polite young lady routine. Be the loud, hard to miss, chick. It works. I promise.- black17
