That’s the HLP forward move. It’s death. all the kids I’ve seen doing this changed it and had better results thereafter. Counter rotation moves you forward in reality. Just like walking. The better you counter the better the contraction imo.
W can you explain the counter rotation forward? Is counter rotation forward coiling forward? Is it ending the core is doing the work forward?

Getting the hands back against a stable back leg turns the torso inward but also gets the hips going forward. I used to say load against the head. That works also. One produces a deeper body pivot than the other. Like Boston Mookie vs LA Mookie.

One has the hands loading on the way back. The other has them loading on the way there. Both work. Counter rotation will be found w both. What you need to see is the hips will shift a little forward, a ‘Re centering’ of the pelvis while the foot is still in the air. That is the shift/stretch you’re missing.

Is this a hike and reach?

In terms of angles, for the most part what you see in good hitters is the back shoulder should be a bit higher than the front shoulder at launch or at most level. Alo does hike and reach a bit but maintains that "attack posture" and as WW said, does shift her COM before launching.

A little May snapshot. Some focus on a better sequence of the upper half later, not being afraid of a load forward, fused, to create a more functional stretch. Chipping away at the abaf. I think as she gets stronger she may feel more capable with it.

We've more discussed it than actually working at it to create the habit, but it's a start.
