So, I can think of a lot of counter points to nearly everything you wrote but, I'll only post if there's an understanding that we're apparently going to agree to disagree. Quite often, an unintended "tone" is read into things when reading an email, a text, or a post on a softball pitching forum! So, I'll reply but I want to make sure there's no unintended tone being read into it. I think there's a lot of things that need to be said about the things you posted but, #1. I have to go give lessons now. and #2. I don't want that unintended tone to come out when 2 people have disagreements. A lot of times, the subjects of abortion, politics, religion, etc. are easier discussions than softball pitching!!!!!! lol.

So, that said, I'll do my reply tonight when I get home.
Bill, I am not so thin-skinned that I cannot hear other people's opinions. Maybe what you have to say will change my mind. Probably not, but I will at least listen to your opinions on the matter. You have way more experience in fastpitch softball than I do, so it would be foolish not to consider that.

This thread proves the old saying about opinions and a certain type of hole. I have always preferred my DD use a 12" glove as a pitcher because the lighter weight of a smaller glove lets her react quicker to hot shots up the middle. I am more concerned about protecting her body from harm versus hiding the ball (which I think is pretty overrated). Fouts, Sandercock, Ashley Rogers, Faraimo, Corrick and a lot more great pitchers make no effort to hide the ball by pitching out of the glove and they do quite well.

Well, this thread has sure taken an interesting turn... I'm open to opinions also but given that DD is in her 3rd year of college and has always used a smaller glove while pitching (currently a Rawlings 12.25" PROS1000), I highly doubt she'll convert to a 13-14" glove while in the circle (nor do I believe her Coach would allow it).

Surely someone with a little extra time on their hands can do a quick search of what size gloves are being used (by females) when pitching in the sport of Fastpitch. My uneducated guess is it'll fall between 12-12.5".

I still think this would make an excellent fastpitch pitchers glove! Most (the majority) of Pro1000's are 12" but occasionally Rawlings will make a 12.25" Spring Training Pro1000, in this case this is a Don Morton exclusive SMU.

Full Horween (liner included) so the durability is there, two-piece pitchers web ("9" web) to hide the ball, sorry guys it won't hide a girls arm all the way to her elbow! ;) Pro200 family so the dual break heel will accommodate being worn TIP or traditional equally. It's only available in Tan, so if that's "old man or old school" boring, sorry!

Showed her that one and the first thing she said was .... like the look of the glove but the color is ugly I told her she can be different than everyone getting colored gloves and she actually started thinking about it
