Pretty good swing and lots of improvement!

3 things I notice:
1 - her left arm is straight before she gets to contact - IMO it should be bent all the way to contact
2 - her right elbow is leading her hands a little when her hands travel past her rear hip/shoulder line
3 - her shoulders are early - they should be rotating up to the point of contact (matching the angle of the bat at that point) and then continue to rotate through until her back is facing the catcher. In her video, they get to contact angle and then, more or less, stop and wait for the hands to get to contact position.

I would have her try to use her arms a little more to hold a good power-V up to contact -or- have her advance the timing of her hands / delay the timing of her shoulders to be better aligned.

Finally had a chance to get some side view. Please give feedback

Hard to tell bc of the slow mo. Can you post regular speed side views?

Edit: as I said previously, the ‘breakaway’ or ‘sit’ portion is late. Think that causes the drag seen. Torso rotation stalls.. Hands are forced to be thrown/cast a bit early. Just guessing wo a real time vid. Does seem to be forced to inside-out the ball. front hip IR is null also. Posting on the front leg is happening instead.

Have her pull the top hand elbow back a bit when her stride heel goes down. Can your naked eye see an increased bat speed?

Funny you say that. I think that’s the way she times and creates power as of now. Big counter with the hands and upper burying her hands etc etc. no stride at all imo.

I took all slowmo last lesson hoping that would help me show DD a few things. I will take full speed next week.

They reason for less of a stride was she tends to left her leg up to high causing her head and eyes to bounce.

Thanks for this feedback. Any drills you suggest to help fix this? Her swing has come a long way but she is always looking to be better
