Anyone have experience with the TNT showcase that’s July 4th weekend in PA? Specifically, is the Sunday single elimination for every team or just a select bunch?

Web site states it’s a 6 game guarantee and her team already has 6 games scheduled Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

Yes. Live there and played there many times. There are a select handful of games played on Sunday at the main complex. Recently they have had some younger age groups there who played a little on Sunday. We never played Sunday. 😂 If you play at the main complex (Vet Park) you will have to pay $5 a day for parking. I heard they are doing a bracket this year on Sunday for the top 16 teams.

Thanks for the information!

I was born/raised in the Lehigh Valley, looking forward to the road trip with my DD.

We were just there and have been to Quakertown many times over the last few years as we have two in different age groups playing. The younger is a pitcher and hates the mounds at these fields. The parents all hate this place because it’s the only place we’ve been to that charges $5 for parking everyday you’re there. We once had a tourney there and Sunday morning looked like a washout. Everything said there’s no way we’ll play, the radar looked bad, the fields were soaked but they didn’t cancel the games until after everyone showed up and paid for parking. Then- no refunds…. We’re done with Quakertown

And I thought Q-town was bad…. This stuff needs to be made known when coaches sign up for the tournament but I’m sure they wouldn’t get as many teams if they did. I just heard of one in Delaware that charged $7/person in each car to park….

Whatever they do with the $5 per car, it's not paying people to take care of the fields. My daughter is a pitcher and also struggles with the mounds every time we play at this facility.

In the fall, we reached the finals of a 14u tournament; she had pitched parts of every game that weekend. The front of the mound was so deep that afterward, she had to go to PT to fix her overextended drive leg ankle.

This past weekend at the TNT Showcase, we played Sunday's final two games of the day. Again, the front of the mound was deep enough that we noticed the ball would lay completely lower than the rubber between innings.

It's crazy that one of the most used facilities in PA (or the NE?) sees such little field care between games. No one rakes, no one relines, and no one takes the 5 minutes it would take to fix the mounds with some water and a tamper.

Unfortunately those mounds don’t have clay bricks under them so you can water and tamper all you want - won’t make a difference. I feel for your dd because my dd went through the same thing. Would always have Achilles tendon pain from trying to drag through the ditch.

Been playing at QT since dd was 12U. Always charged $5/day for parking, no matter the event. They are a big USSSA location, as well as D2 PSAC Conference Tourney and HS playoffs. Initially the $5/day was to raise money to build bathrooms. They have been there for several years now. 🤣
