Ichiro did this a lot. In this case the ball was hit down the third base line. The thing that is similar between this hitter and Ichiro is sending the barrel rearward in a looping action. Or what most would call looping which is completely at different the the hands driving down and forward theory.

The problem is there is to much focus on the hips for me.

I wouldn't say hanging but falling into the legs while the middle is resisting (stretching).. Its a weightless feeling.

I think everyone hangs, everything is in front of the back foot. The back leg supports the entire body. When you coil into the loaded position your hanging out.
