DD's been working on No stride. She wants to swing this way. I don't have any problem with it. Is there anything to be aware of or to look for? The main thing I know is that she doesn't need to just stand and spin. Still have to have sequence. Bp at home and Team Bp yesterday went well didn't get video of that, just what I have at home.

As long as she can get FYB without giving up the the rear leg/hip relationship she should be fine.

My daughter has a no stride swing, she is VERY strong. My suggestion without getting to technical is making sure there is a proper weight shift and that front foot has some movement in it, Heel up, heel down.

yes sir! This is gold. You could say ‘knee inward’ as well. Or front hip coil. Just gives the hips the tilt they need to balance and leverage the swing earlier.

Yeah she is doing that. I don't feel that she needs to have a big negative move either. Sometimes she does it sometimes not as much. It's new to her. I would imagine, that you can be too wide, right? I simply told her about bat width or slightly wider as easy reference.

She looks good to me, looks like she's getting weight shift and moderate coil.
Only issue I've had with my no-stride kids is if there are timing issues I haven't figured out an effective way to speak to them. My normal cues like start the stride sooner, or slow and control the stride don't apply. Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

I think what Hawk stated about the turning in the front knee and foot action will help with the moderate coil.

As far as cues. I don't have any, other than maybe, start your sequence sooner. After all a No-stride should still have a sequence.🤷‍♂️

Her first swing is her best swing. I like no stride. Shoulders start downhill (good) but she slots elbow slightly early losing her downhill position slightly early and unnaturally. This is why her swings follow thru is flatish. Overall a good swing.
No stride should be taught to all hitters new to the game. Its easier to teach with less moving parts. If they decide to switch to striding they will have a good foundation and if they decide to switch back to no stride it wont seem foreign.

Thanks for the reply. She is so used to striding, that yesterday during Bp, on a few swings took a stride. LOL, but over all she seemed actually more consistent.

Get the shins right in set up. More horizontal. Things will clean up. It should feel like your shins and glutes are pulsing. This stabilizes the lower half. I know we have been over this before. Just a reminder.
