How was that pitcher from this weekend? Looks like she's throwin pretty good. Maybe she just barely lost a close battle? Good pitcher vs good hitter. Just a tad late I think.

I wouldnt worry about it too much.

It seems like her hips open but the torso only half turns. Maybe...
That is what I'm seeing. My DD does the same thing from time to time, and like you said it results in a lot of weak contact to the right side. Her instructor has her work on keeping the front hip closed longer (like W=W pointed out) and driving her right side through contact.

It looks like a forced coil in the newer swing. No posterior chain. So she has to create force from somewhere... it could all derived from timing OR the back knee/leg isn’t doing the same thing as before. That would definitely cause early opening etc.

look at the ‘hard’ front foot in the newer as opposed to the ‘soft’ front foot in the older.

Thanks all. The pitcher in that clip was very good but we saw some easy ones where we had similar results. I think it's the front hip; landing open and maybe too high of a leg kick.

and even though we want hands last they seem to be lagging too far behind.
