DD made her league's 10U gold all-star team and they played their first tournament of the year this weekend.
DD's coach had used the team's #1 pitcher in the semifinals to get past a tough opponent, so he wanted a fresh arm for the championship game and asked DD to pitch (she's the #3 pitcher). She was a little nervous, but coach told her to do her best. And in the end she went six innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits with no walks and four strikeouts. The girls won the game 11-1.
It was a great way to end Mother's Day.
