How are scholarships typically sliced and divided?

One thing that may be overlooked is that schools can vary in how many kids are carried on a roster. If a school is carrying twenty-five, those twelve athletic scholarships aren't going to go near as far as with a school that rosters twenty.

I find it interesting how the BC asst.coach lists "The Ivys" and "some DIII's" as your best chance at a full-ride.
Given that these two avenues are typically regarded as ones that "don't offer scholarships" by so many.
Of course, what they mean is, they don't have *athletic* scholarship money to offer recruits.
But it's interesting to learn that a recruit may come closer to a "full-ride" through grants and academic scholarships, then with pure athletic scholarship money from a D1.
Hmmmmm....
