Luckily my kids are all out of the house now. We never got to go anywhere for Thanksgiving or Christmas because of basketball, and Spring Break and Summer because of Fastpitch and Baseball. Plus swimming, cheerleading, etc. etc. took up the other days. And don't forget about off-season conditioning for each sport.. oh, and camps.

we have spent Thanksgiving on field hockey fields the last two years, and expect to do same next two or three as well. huge recruiting tournament that weekend every year (I think Thanksgiving WE is just coincidental to end of college FH season and dissappearing window of playable weather outdoors.
