Yeah that’s something Combat came up with in slow pitch and when Easton bought them it was convenient terminology for marketing purposes.

"Swing weight" has been a factor of golf club design for a long time. Combat did not come up with it.

2020 DeMarini FNX Rising 33/23 - Actual Weight 23.06oz
2019 DeMarini CFZen 33/23 - Actual Weight 22.96oz

Here's the absolutely interesting part, FNX is supposedly the END loaded bat. I have a 2019 33/10 CFZen to measure against. The balance point WRT the knob on the CFZen is 19.75". The balance point for the FNX is 19.125". This is saying that the end loaded FNX is more evenly balanced than the CFZen, huh???

I had to contact Easton a few years ago and I brought up the over sticker weight issue to the CS rep. I was told "we weigh the bats without the grip and endcap". What????? i guess we should strip the grips and endcaps off our bats to get them to sticker. They should state a "playing weight"

I had posed this question to DeMarini.. Here's a snippet of the response.

The FNX is a power loaded fastpitch bat. It's mid balanced with "a stiffer composite barrel designed for power hitters looking for more mass in the barrel."

Balanced bat = weight evenly distributed throughout bat
End loaded bat = weight concentrated towards end of barrel
Power loaded bat = weight concentrated at sweet spot

I didn’t think it felt much different then the 2020 Zen weighting wise. That’s good info to know though for the future.

"Power loaded"...LMAO. Someone in the marketing department earned their paycheck with that one. :ROFLMAO:

Enjoy that folks are forgetting who made a living with the "swing weight" on his bats that were 2-3 ounces over ;)

I really don't know why over weighted bats are a surprise for some just now. Many aren't real close
