    My DD asked me this question, and I had no answer. I'd never even thought of it. When your DD commits/signs to play softball, does she still have to apply to the college? Like write the essays, put the whole package together, and actually do all the things that a non-athlete does?

    My DD is 11. Hitting righties or lefties isn't really a thing. She barely notices and seems to hit fine off either. For you parents of older girls... is it ever a thing? Do girls ever platoon? Do your daughters do worse against lefties? Do they hate hitting lefties?
