    where do I start with her? teach her to catch and throw and some basics on hitting? anyone have any good beginning drills? shes a great athlete (gymnast) but literally has never picked up a glove or ball before (softball) thanks in advance

    Launch position.

    im beginning to be a proponent of starting in the launch position. The stride involves so much of the timing aspect and if the stride foot comes down early or late it is problematic but if you start in the launch position the only decision is when to launch...just my opinion

    Gibraltor I know Teacherman promotes hands before hips...2 pivot points, hands and hips...I also agree with you that generally pitchers are great/good athletes...if youre going to say they arent then id counter by saying many baseball players in general arent the best athletes, ie Kruk...

    Teacherman says you have to swing a bat on your own if youre ever going to learn this stuff. It helps me immensely when I swing and get the feeling that is talked about on here. I dont think many people do swing on here though
