Thank you for posting and sharing this @Dabears17 and my apologies for the late response. I don't check-in on here nearly as much anymore but once in awhile I will log in to see what people are up to and just saw this. I really appreciate you taking the time to make that happen and I know Bob...
I watched the replay last night. It was disgusting!!!! YES! She was leaping no doubt! Would love to go back to all the games he umped and see if he called it before. Bet he hasn't. He had it out for some reason.....All good.....she was illegal. BUT.........so are so many pitchers. I rarely see a...
Good post as always Bill. I don't think wood bats will ever happen but the balls could maybe use a trim down.
That said........and I have posted this before.....isn't it ironic that the softball mechanics world calls it "leap and drag" yet "leaping" is illegal?
Yep. Agree. Don't try to finish a certain way.... in this case palm down. Backchain and understand what makes the palm finish palm down or wavey palm like the videos posted earlier and it happen naturally. Focusing on the finish doesn't work.
Good post @wheresmycar!

Been wanting to check that out and will do. Thanks Bill!
I think the spinner is great for finger snap and that is about it but gets the fingers involved as it is really your only option. I don't recommend pitching it full distance either. Just use the fingers to throw it into the pitchers glove...
Well....... it has been long past "a few weeks" but did want to finally report back on this tool. Many ideas on it in DFP for sure and probably a 50/50 good or not good review.
That said, over the last couple of years, I haven't necessarily used the "spinner" for spins but more for finger snap...
Ok. Just read the whole thread. YES!!!! Strike 3 is what you need to name the horse!
But I have to admit, if I was at the track and saw a horse named Gambler Bob.....I would bet on it too! Perfect horse name as well.
to the OP..... you have 2 great options here!! LOL🤣🤣🤣
sorry to the OP. Didn't mean to steal this thread but agree with what @sluggers stated on the follow-thru. The above are examples of model pitchers and just a couple to look at and say why does that hand "flop" around extended at the end. Then backchain all the mechanics backward and you have a...
The follow-thru is a function of good mechanics upstream meaning IR, brush, whip, spin, etc. If those things are done the follow-thru that @sluggers mention will happen. It is not forced.
With that said, every pitcher should aspire to have the mechanics that produce the follow-thru of a...
I am sorry to bring this thread back up but is anyone watching the Nebraska vs. Cal State F game on Espn plus?
Pretty sure Jordy's long lost sister pitches for Nebraska. Looks exactly like JB. The whole arm wave before the pitch......all of it.
@Hillhouse do you know who I am talking...
