In Ohio, in the SWBL anyhow, Jr High through Varsity play on different days, sometimes a JV will be on one field and JR high on another. All are playing full games...unless run rule applies. This might not be the case every where, but I would hate it to be Bush league...
A team in our organization was playing at Smokey Baker tournament in Cincinnati last weekend. 14 U, Bottom of last inning, down by 3, 2 outs, bases loaded, 2 strikes....a no doubter grand slam to walk it off. They lost next game but what a moment for that kid.
My DD has both turf and metal Ringors for school ball and indoor practice. She has to use molded cleats in 12u right now. She would rather have spikes though. We were burning through a pair of tennis shoes in 2 weeks for pitching lessons. Ringors are the way to go.
An umpire in DD JR High league game had a zone about 6”x6” in center of plate. Opposing team went through 3 pitchers in 1st inning. Mine pitched most of game, with some walks but Defense supported her. She lived on drop ball at the time and he wasn’t calling it, not one bit.

School ball or TB, I get excited the night before a tournament....it is now almost 3:00, alarm is set for 05:30. Truck is washed,waxed...loaded and ready to roll. Eat a good breakfast. 1/2 hour drive. Be at park 7:30 ish. Report time is 8:00 first pitch at 09:00.
Hello all, coming by to engage with others about fastpitch and other items I suppose. I have coached rec ball for several years and some tournament teams after seasons were over. Looking in to coaching some school ball too. First summer in travel ball and looking forward to it.
