It has been a while since anyone has asked about slappernation clinics. Thinking about signing my DD up, but want to see if it is worth $200. She already has three other clinics to attend this summer, but only one of those is a slapping clinic at Ohio State. Any thoughts?

Personally I would only do one slapping clinic and see if I could find a good hitting clinic also.
Unless your DD is unbelievably fast it’s only going to add value if she can learn how to be a threat from hitting, bunting and slapping.
My DD just finished her freshman year of college and used a mix of slapping, bunting and hitting all season. Her favorite thing is when the opposing team pulls everyone in and she hits it to the fence over their heads.

Thank you for your advice. My DD just started slapping in November. She is fast, but not unbelievably fast. Her laser time through ODM was 2.974 in the 20 yard dash 5.519 in 40 yard dash. Her goal is to be a triple threat, but may take a little while to get there. Her OBP is improving though.

My DD has only been to one of the Slapper Nation clinics. That is strictly because of scheduling over the summer. We seem to always be playing somewhere when her clinics are going on. DD used to take private and small group lessons from India. However, now with her being on UT's staff, the rules and scheduling (between tourneys and college camps) make it almost impossible to get a lesson with her. I still try really hard to get my DD in with her at every opportunity possible.

Also, the University of Tennessee Slap and Speed camp is the best college camp for slappers. They hold one in the summer and one in the winter. Definitely worth the time and money for a young slapper.

Slapper Nation is the authority on slapping. Look at her bio, she was an incredible collegiate athlete and will teach your DD the correct form and give her lots of tips to continue improving on her own.

My DD liked the camp. The camp was short 2 players from having another instructor. The camp was run well. Just a little large for the one on one. Probably my only criticism.
